What is Epoxy
- Epoxy systems are specified for different applications and for various needs.
- Namely, Corrosion protection, acid resistance, impact resistance, abrasion resistance.
- Epoxy floor coatings have a life span of approximately 5 to 10 years depending on the maintenance program and the usage/purpose of the floor.
Checklist
- Diamond grinders/Hand held grinders
- Notched rake/Trowel/Spike shoes
- Vacuum machine/Hose pipe and fittings
- Spiked rollers/Roller brushes
- Electric mixer/Paddles/Stirrer sticks
- Masking tape/Buff tape
- Spillage boards (Cardboard)
- Clean mixing containers/ Water buckets
- Pour out the entire contents of mixed product (A+B+C) over the area to be covered – check coverage per litre.
- Spread with the correct size notched trowel to obtain d.f.t.
- Roll with mohair roller and then de-air using a spiked roller. Do frequent inspections to make sure that all areas have been thoroughly de-aired and remove any fluff or specks.
- Leave to level out and cure.
